MINISTER OF INDUSTRY AND TRADE VISITED BIM GROUP’S SOLAR ENERGY PROJECT

BIM Group Chairman Mr. Doan Quoc Viet welcomes the mission of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, together with the local authority to visit BIM solar energy project located in Phuoc Minh commune, Ninh Thuan province.

In the recent working session with Ninh Thuan People's Committee about socio-economic development and the activities of the industry in the first half of 2018, the mission of the Ministry of Industry and Trade led by Minister Tran Tuan Anh visited BIM solar energy project located in Phuoc Minh commune, Ninh Thuan province.
Covering the total land area of more than 35 hectares, equipped with the latest advanced technologies for high efficiency, the solar power plant is a strategic project of BIM Energy, BIM Group’s bussiness arm in the energy sector. Upon completion, the solar farm will become the largest one in Southeast Asia and is expecting to generate 545 million kWh of clean electricity annually.
During the working session, the Minister of Industry and Trade discussed with the local authorities and investors about the great potential for socio-economy development of the province, particularly renewable energy sector. The Minister affirmed that the Ministry would always accompany the province to tackle difficulties and develop the energy industry, especially renewable energy and clean energy. Besides, the Minister requested relevant departments to coordinate with the local authorities in boosting the development of renewable energy and clean energy.
As the province's key project for renewable energy development, the BIM solar power project was broken ground in early this year and is expected to be put into operation soon, joining the national electric grid.
