BIM Land breaks ground on luxury resort in Vinh Hy

The project draws inspiration from Vinh Hy’s distinctive mountains, forests and coastline, aspiring to create a premium hospitality experience rooted in the character of the destination.

On the morning of September 25, Syrena Vietnam Investment and Development Joint Stock Company, a member of BIM Group, held the groundbreaking ceremony for the Vinh Hy Luxury Resort. Syrena Vietnam serves as the project owner, while BIM Land is responsible for its creation and development.

The event was attended by representatives of the Khanh Hoa provincial authorities and Vinh Hai Commune, relevant provincial departments and agencies, as well as members of the press. For BIM Group, the project marks a continuation of nearly two decades of investment in the area formerly known as Ninh Thuan Province, now part of Khanh Hoa Province, from the Quang The salt fields to renewable energy projects, while also signalling a new commitment to high-quality tourism development.

Developing from the landscape of Vinh Hy

Where mountains, forests and the sea converge, Vinh Hy possesses a rare and distinctive landscape structure. This defining characteristic serves as the starting point for the resort’s planning, while also calling for a considered and sensitive approach throughout the project’s development.

BIM Land is collaborating with leading international planning and architectural consultants to study solutions that respond appropriately to the terrain and natural environment. In the preliminary design, the spatial experience is envisioned as a journey from the valley, across successive hillside terraces, towards expansive views of the sea. Architectural volumes follow the natural contours of the land, creating different perspectives at varying elevations while seeking harmony with the surrounding landscape from the earliest stages of design development.

From spatial organization to architectural language, the project aspires to create a dialogue between contemporary sensibilities and inspiration drawn from local culture. BIM Land seeks to shape a resort that meets international standards while retaining a distinctive sense of place rooted in Vinh Hy.

Ms. Nguyen Thu Huong, Deputy General Director of BIM Group in charge of the Khanh Hoa area, shared: “The greatest value of Vinh Hy lies in the landscape and identity of the land itself. A structure may be built within a few years, but a destination is something that must be preserved for generations". According to her, planning and architectural research should respond to the terrain and natural environment, combining local cultural values with a green architectural approach to create lasting value.

For Vinh Hy, BIM Land has selected an international luxury hospitality brand whose philosophy celebrates the individual character of each destination. Rather than applying a standardised model, this approach weaves the local narrative into the design and guest journey, complemented by personalised services and experiences centred on the exploration of nature, culture and cuisine. This shared philosophy provides the foundation for BIM Land and its partner to shape a resort that responds to the distinctive beauty of Vinh Hy.

The project is designed for travellers who value privacy and wish to discover the destination on their own terms: from moments of tranquillity amid the valley landscape and expansive sea views to encounters with local life. Specific experiences, including culinary offerings and holistic wellness, will continue to be developed with the operating partner in subsequent stages.

Expected contribution to local tourism

Upon completion and commencement of operations, the resort is expected to add a premium tourism offering to Khanh Hoa, broadening the range of experiences available to both domestic and international visitors. The construction and operation of the resort may also generate additional employment, create demand for hospitality workforce training, and open up opportunities for local suppliers and businesses.

BIM Land aims to incorporate the culture and local products of Vinh Hai into the hospitality experience in a thoughtful manner, contributing to the introduction of the destination to international visitors and partners. The project’s connection with the local community will continue to be further articulated throughout its development and operation.

Mr. Nguyen Van Que, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Vinh Hai Commune, said: “Vinh Hai possesses exceptional advantages in terms of natural resources, landscape and culture, but tourism development can only be sustainable when these values are preserved and promoted responsibly". The local authorities expect the project to contribute to diversifying tourism offerings, creating additional employment and expanding opportunities for local residents to participate. The People’s Committee of Vinh Hai Commune will coordinate with relevant authorities and agencies, while requesting that the project owner fully comply with regulations on investment, construction and environmental protection.
