Halo Bay Show debuts at Halong Marina, wins three Vietnam records, offers free nightly performances

Staged outdoors every night and free of charge, the public water-and-light show serves residents and visitors while adding a new after-dark attraction to Halong Marina that supports the city’s night-time economy.

At the launch, the Vietnam Records Organization presented three national records to Halo Bay Show: the tallest water column in Vietnam; the largest “cannon” fountain array reaching 40–50 meters; and the largest floating-pontoon system.

“Halo Bay”: a name with intent

Halo Bay is a shortened form of HaLong Bay Show and extends the “Halo” event identity of Halong Marina. The ambition goes beyond a single opening night: a regular, nightly schedule designed to turn water-music into an everyday habit. On special occasions, the program may incorporate a floating stage, live performances, and guest artists, creating a festive waterfront atmosphere.

A “golden-coordinate” setting on Hoang Quoc Viet

Set within Central Lake No. 1—a public parkland designed with the involvement of Kume Asia—the show sits on Hoang Quoc Viet boulevard, a hub that connects Quang Yen, Bai Chay, Hon Gai and Van Don. In the heart of Halong Marina, among established neighborhoods and busy commercial streets, the lake is curated as an open, public stage each night—no ticket barriers, just an invitation to gather.

Experience & technology

The system employs 170 floating pontoons with a combined mass of about 46 tons, synchronized sound–light–LED effects, and themed sequences. The launch program featured “Proud Vietnam”, with pieces such as A Tour of Vietnam, The Smile of Ha Long, Vietnam Is in Me (solo violin), Halong Marina in Full Color, and Continuing the Story of Peace.

Show schedule

From August 31, Halo Bay Show is scheduled to perform nightly, free to the public. Each show lasts 15–20 minutes. Three nightly time slots are planned, final timings will be updated on Halong Marina’s official channels.

Remarks at the launch

A BIM Group representative emphasized the goal of creating an open public space where families and friends have a reason to meet outdoors every night—thereby energizing the surrounding retail-and-dining ecosystem and contributing to Ha Long’s night-time economy. A representative of Bai Chay Ward highlighted Halo Bay Show as a civil, safe destination for residents and visitors.

Operations & safety

The organizers state that the system adheres to safety, fire-prevention and noise regulations for residential areas, with crowd guidance and viewing zones arranged to ensure a convenient, respectful experience.
